Product Info for UNITHANE 8118 NF
UNITHANE 8118 NF is a clear, bright hard NMP and NPEO/APEO free topcoat that gives a feel similar to a nitrocellulose lacquer, when a light coat is sprayed at a ratio of 1:1 with water onto full grain leather. Due to its inherent hardness, UNITHANE 8118 NF is not recommended for use as a topcoat for upholstery leathers or on leathers that will be dry milled. UNITHANE 8118 NF has excellent abrasion resistance and is very suitable as a component when added into soft top coats to help increase this property. UNITHANE 8118 NF should not be used alone for roll coating because, due to its hardness, it could crack due to the thickness of the film applied by this method.
