UNITHANE RI is a medium particle size, medium soft lightfast waterborne polyurethane that has excellent brightness and adhesion properties. UNITHANE RI is softer than Unithane 7561 and has somewhat better film elongation while maintaining excellent toughness and flexibility. The flexibility of UNITHANE RI indicates its use on semi-rigid and flexible materials such as leather, and leatherboard, where gloss and tough abrasion resistance is required. It is especially useful in urethane/acrylic basecoat mixtures for leather and will give a very natural, close to the leather, finish look.
