UNISLIP FW is a beige colored, non-hazardous powder used as an auxiliary in the tanning and or re-tanning process. It is composed of minerals and polymeric modifiers. UNISLIP FW helps to prevent tie-ups and tearing of leather in the wet stages. It also promotes better uniformity of tanning, re-tanning and dyeing. As UNISLIP FW is free from formaldehyde, it makes it suitable for automotive leather from wet-white as well as wet-blue. UNISLIP FW is used in the wet process by dissolving in water. It is difficult to give a set formula for the use of UNISLIP FW, but generally we recommend using 0.1 – 0.25% based on pelt weight. It should be added into the system after each wash cycle.
