COLPASTE 4037 is a recently developed paste that covers a wide range of full grain and corrected leathers. COLPASTE 4037 has excellent wet and dry adhesion, yet strips smoothly and cleanly from the plates. It is of particular benefit on full grain leathers because of its cleanliness and ease of washing. COLPASTE 4037 can also be used for water-resistant type leathers because it contains no detergents or wetting agents.
COLPASTE 4037 is recommended for use at between 8-12 lbs. per 50 U.S. gallon (l9 – 30 grams/liter) with 10 lbs. (24 g/l) being a good starting point for regular production leathers. Increasing or decreasing the concentration of the paste will ultimately determine the amount of dry adhesion desired. The recommended way of making COLPASTE 4037 solution is to fill the mixing drum approximately 1/2 full of water at 110F (45C), add the weighed paste with a high-speed mixer running and mix for thirty (30) minutes. Fill the drum to the batch level with cold water and allow to mix for another thirty (30 minutes). The paste is now ready to be sprayed.
COLPASTE 4037 contains its own preservative.
